Tips for Eco-Friendly Summer Entertaining from Continental Ponds!

Are you looking to have friends and family to share the enjoyment of your backyard paradise? Your water feature already helps the environment by supporting local habitat, but here are a few other ways you can help our environment and still throw a fabulous party!

Set the Scene – Your outdoor living space’s furniture can be the first place to start. Today’s furniture can be made with from wood sustainable source such as those from Vermont Woods Studios or even recycled plastic cartons such as the furniture made by PolyWood which comes in great colors that range from classic to bold and fun!

Set the Table – For a small, intimate party or a nice selection of serving pieces, Branch has a great selection of bamboo tableware. For a larger get-together. A better alternative to paper plates are corn plates! This renewable source is now transformed into a great party helper. Set the Mood – Add some color with a great outdoor rug that is (again) made with recycled milk jugs and is low maintenance such as the ones found at 3r Living. Add some ambience with lighting. There are great options in solar lighting with everything from landscape lights, stepping stones, and pond lights like the ones at the Solar Light Store.

There are so many great, small ways that each household can work towards a better and healthier environment!
