Be ready to take notes as we tell you what tools and products you need and the process to get the job done. It will be held on Saturday, February 17th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Continental Ponds and is FREE! For more information or to register, contact us or call (405) 834-2291. We also offer a Spring Clean-Out Service as well as several maintenance plans if you would rather have us work on your pond so you can ENJOY your pond!

Lotus - The Shining Jewel of a Water Garden!

Any pond owner knows that some of the best shows aren't on TV, they are in the pond. Lotus doesn't just put on a show - they are show stoppers! While they may resemble Water Lilies, these exotic flowers can have dominating size that commands attention from any visitor whether they are your friends or our pond's inhabitants. They will grace you with beautiful blooms from if you make sure to maintain and fertilize them. Available in colors like cream, pink, rose, and yellow, they smell great and can even be used as cut flowers - but why would you? It's much nicer to enjoy these beauties outdoors!

Think Spring Planting!

It's not that far away and it's never too early to start figuring out what needs to be done to help make your water feature everything you want it to be. Perhaps you notice that there are some bare spots around your winter pond that you want to fill in. Draw a diagram of your pond's landscape noting where those bothersome bare spots are and imagine what will look best there - maybe some evergreen shrubs or a perennial that still looks good even when its bloom time has long passed. Ornamental grasses with variegated color or in red tones will look great until Spring when you cut them back to make room for the new growth. Whatever your ultimate plan - you'll be ready to dig-in when Spring arrives!
