What's Happening at Continental Ponds

Well, here we are again, it's the middle of July and the rain is still here. We have been quite busy trying to keep up with all the flooding problems. Just last week we were out in the yard wading through six inches of water, looking for fish that escaped from the ponds. Talk about a real sight, four guys wading through flood waters with fish nets. I am sure everyone around thought we were nuts! Although Mother Nature has thrown us a few curves this year we are still all geared up for the pond tours. As I sit and write this newsletter the water has receded and the ponds are in great shape. Now, who knows what tomorrow holds. Good Lord willing we will have beautiful weather come tour time.

During this time of year we should all be enjoying our water features. The algae's dissipated, the lilies have multiple blooms, and your fish are following you around the pond begging for more food. As I wind down from a hard days work I love to go out back, feed the fish, fire up the grill and thank the Lord for allowing me the ability to re-create nature in backyards all across the country. All of us here at Continental Ponds would like to say "thank you" to all our customers, without you our dreams would not have become a reality. Thanks now put that steak on the grill!!!!

Night Pond Tour

Did you go on the OKC pond tour? Was it too hot to visit all the ponds you wanted to see? Well we have an alternative for you! On August 4th we will be holding our annual Night Water Garden Tour. This year's tour will feature eight locations with both pondless and ponds on display. There is a wide array of features to see, everything from a 21' x 36' pond to a 60' stream dumping into a natural retention pond. All proceeds raised from this event will benefit the Oklahoma Wildlife Federation and the Ponds for Kids Program. For more information please give us a call.
